1-Change your search settings

Even though changing your search settings will not actually filter websites, they will block certain websites from showing up in the search engine. This helps a lot because when most kids are browsing the web they do it through search engines. To change the settings is simple, all you have to do is go to the preferences and the search engines home page and select heavy filtering. Make sure you do a few searches to test out whether or not it worked.

2-Use a program called Net Nanny

If you have never heard of a program called Net Nanny then you are going to want to learn more about it. This software actually let’s you filter any kind of website based off of what you want filtered. But it get’s even better, you can do more than just filter websites. If you want you can also monitor your child’s use on facebook, myspace, and almost any instant messenger.

3-Use Pure Site if Net Nanny is too expensive

If you are looking for a way to just filter websites that you do not want your children looking at the Pure Sight is probably the best bang for your buck. The reason you will save money by using Pure Sight is because you will not be able to monitor the Myspace, Facebook, and AIM. However, it does do a great job blocking almost all adult websites.
