Although our name is Whimsical, there is certainly nothing at all whimsical involved with reading the Tarot.  In fact, quite the opposite.  Divining the future and understanding the past with the aid of Tarot cards is a serious undertaking, one that is steeped in tradition, and one that should never be taken lightly.

Here at Whimsical Tarot, we will give you access to all the knowledge and tools you will need to become an expert at reading Tarot cards and to develop your own Tarot Card Reading business.  How you choose to use these tools is up to you, but we suggest you enter into this with an open mind and a respect for the traditions involved.

All You Need Is A Tarot Deck

The only equipment you’ll need to start you Tarot business is a deck of Tarot cards.  And, of course, the knowledge of how to use them. We’ve set up an entire section of this website devoted to providing you detailed information about the history of the Tarot, the meanings of each individual card, the layouts and how to interpret everything.

If you’re going to be conducting business at home or at parties or festivals, you may want to invest in a few props, candles, a mystical looking tablecloth, perhaps a costume of sorts.  Develop your own style!  I’ve had my cards read by young girls in biker jackets at a little table in the hallway and by business men in suits in the middle of a convention center.  And they were all very skilled and accurate readings.
